Pamela Hird Klein, PDHom (UK)
It was about 25 years ago when I first heard of homeopathy. There was something about it that I found intriguing. I had never been comfortable taking medication, and I was always looking for ways to stay healthy using natural, non-invasive solutions. After three years of reading everything I could about the subject, I enrolled in a program with The School of Homeopathy in Devon, England, the best training I could find. During this program, I worked harder than I did while in college and earned a PDHom(UK) – a practitioner’s diploma of homeopathy.
Completing the program in England was far from the end of my learning about homeopathy. I attended seminars with well-known homeopaths including Dr. Jayesh Shah and Dr. Divya Chhabra, two distinguished homeopaths from the Bombay group of homeopaths in India. About eight years ago I enrolled in the Vital Sensation Homeopathy Training Program at the California Center for Homeopathic Education in Escondido, California. This wonderful program focused on Dr. Rajan Sankaran’s Vital Sensation Method. It widened and deepened my knowledge and understanding of homeopathy.
When I first started studying homeopathy, I didn’t imagine that I would have a practice. As I learned more and had a better understanding of homeopathy, I decided I wanted to help others take advantage of this safe, natural way of healing. It was then that I started my practice in La Mesa, California, where I see babies, children, and adults for a wide variety of health concerns.
I always say that homeopathy has me, not that I have homeopathy. My patients are my best teachers, and there is an ever-growing need for homeopathy as more and more people become disenchanted with allopathic medicine.
In addition to my practice, I have taught introductory classes on Homeopathy with the Community Learning Program through Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. I have also given presentations on homeopathy at various locations in the greater San Diego area and to numerous groups, including the La Leche League, North County Doulas, La Mesa Lion’s Club, Attachment Parenting Groups, and The Waldorf School.
I believe it is important that people are educated and know that they have choices concerning their health care. Homeopathy can promote a deep healing and is extremely helpful for many of the health concerns that people experience today.
As for my personal life, I have lived in California since 1979 after growing up in New York City. I have two sons and enjoy yoga, walking, drawing, painting, weaving tapestries, healthy food and good conversation.
My mission is to help individuals who are suffering come to a more healthy state of being from which they can live a happier and more fulfilled life.
